Was Pauls faith not strong enough to find the way of good?

Read the previous verses where he talks about" I do not do what I want but I do what I hate. " Kind of the "spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" thing . Like I wanted to get up early this morning but overslept . He is verifying that we are sinners , and can do little good without Christ and the Holy Spirit's help.
