What should I do about my bf? He talks to his ex, and she seems to be jealous?

We've been tgether for 1 yr now. Everything seemed fine until later on i found out he and his ex (10 yrs known eachother, 4 yrs live together and dated, broke up 3 yrs ago) talk once a day. At first i was a bit shocked but then he explained he has no feelings for her emotionally or physically and that they were just friends. Recently it was my birthday and he had bought me boots, which she had picked up from the states as we live in canada (It was convenient for him). He works and plays bball and his very busy, this week he only saw me, she had called when we were together asking what are u guys doing where r u going ect. he got mad because he wants to keep us personal. She called back 3 times then got mad bcuz he said he was gettin her a xmas/bday present wrapped in 1 as he did with me(our bdays are in the winter)she got very mad when he said he was givin 1 present, and he said shauna got one present. the ex said do not compare me to her! What do i do, he wont stop talkin to her??
