How long will an offset delay my tax refund?

Orginally my tex refund was set to direct deposit sometime around 2/17, but now when I check the IRS website it is saying that it will be delayed. I called the IRS and was told that there is an offset due to my husband owing from a previous year (married filing jointly) and that it is scheduled to come out on 2/23. I was told that I should expect my refund a few weeks after that. This doesn't really give me a clear frame of time.
